In 2017, four academic partners initiated an ambitious collaboration in the TOPFIT Impact programme, aiming for two more healthy lifeyears for citizens in Eastern Netherlands. From the start, the programme wanted to have impact on society, economy and science and therefore chose to be an open innovation consortium, inviting and representing all relevant stakeholders in the region.
The TOPFIT consortium comprises currently four universities (Radboud University, Radboud Medical Centre, Wageningen University and Research and University of Twente), two universities of applied sciences (Saxion and HAN), the ROC of Twente, the hospitals Rijnstate, Sint Maartenskliniek, Ziekenhuis Groep Twente, Medisch Spectrum Twente.
TOPFIT welcomes new partnerships with citizen and patient initiatives, (preventive) healthcare providers, educational institutions, research organisations and companies.
