TOPFIT deploys a programmatic approach with a time scale of more than 10 years. Within this approach, TOPFIT works on mission-driven programmes that impact social innovation, health systems innovation, economic growth and the continued strengthening of scientific excellence.

Currently, experts from more than 80 companies, 300 researchers and health professionals work together within these mission-driven programs in the areas of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, movement disorders and kidney disease. 


The mission programs are interlinked in a Broad Base Program on Prevention for the development of the social and technological infrastructure for improving health and care in the eastern Netherlands.
