Currently, experts from some 60 companies and more than 150 researchers and health professionals are detailing roadmaps for four mission driven programmes on diabetes, cardiovascular disease, movement disorders and renal diseases. More programmes are envisaged.

Roadmaps comprise deliverables at the specified timescales including business and investment propositions, novel technology-enhanced procedures for early diagnosis, a broad range of smart tools to enable personalised health, hands on testing and training programmes for health & wellbeing professionals, and ethical, legal and social impact analysis methods that stimulate citizen science and citizen participation in policy formation and adoption of novel health services.

In these mission-driven programmes, TOPFIT closely cooperates with Health Valley and the Health Innovation Park (HIP) on valorisation, business cooperation, dissemination and branding, with the OnePlanet Centre on key technologies in health and food, and with the  interdisciplinary consortium for clinical movement sciences & technology (ICMS).

Citizen Science: Citizens are actively involved in developing new technology for better implementation in society.

Citizen Lab: Developing knowledge and technology infrastructure for citizen science in East Netherlands. Collaboration between researchers and patient organizations, health care organizations and govermental organisations.
